Project Engineer | New Iberia

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES

 o   Perform design engineer tasks on heavy lift/heavy transport

o   Carry out design calculations on lifting equipment and other heavy rigging transportation applications

o   Generate drawings and layout project information

o   Create drawings for upcoming projects (ie. transport plans, jacking plans, barging layouts, ballast layouts; tie-down plans, weighing layouts, trucking/permit drawings)

o   Complete ballast plans, etc. as required

o   General project engineering (jacking, SPMTs, sliding, hydraulics, etc.)

o   Engineer and draft new equipment for fabrication department

o   OTR and sea vessel securing engineering

o   Vessel mooring engineering

o   Create method statements

o   Create weight reports

o   Create lifting diagrams

EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE | SKILLS

 o   MS Office Programs

o   CAD Software Preferred

o   AutoCAD

o   Inventor

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability and willingness to travel to various project job sites for Project Support and for Customer interface.

DOT Compliance Admin | New Iberia

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES

 

  • Keep abreast of DOT rules & regulations and assist with FMCSA rule enforcement
  • Assists with accident/incident investigations, follow-up and closure of action items for all vehicle accidents/incidents
  • Responsible for monitoring all drivers Electronic Logs on a daily basis, making corrections as needed and disciplinary actions with drivers that do not follow HOS regulations
  • Auditing driver logs/DVIRs
  • Assist with mentoring employees on regulatory compliance issues
  • Coordinates and/or assists with internal and external DOT audit processes to ensure compliance with safety policies and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Ensuring adequate driver qualification files
  • Assist with coordinating and/or obtaining permits for respective jobs

o   Submit permits for DOT/OTR projects

o   Assist with coordination and complete application forms to submit to various utilities and third-party vendors

o   Support Project Team with tracking permits / projects and reporting

o   Supporting multiple fast-paced projects

EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE | SKILLS

o   High School diploma or equivalent preferred

o   Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office & Outlook. Have a strong sense of urgency, time management skills, be able to work independently with minimal instruction, self-starter

o   0-2 years of office and administrative experience

o   Coordination of DOT permits for various projects: 1 year

o   Familiarization with GPS software

o   Basic Understanding of the Federal, State and Local DOT rules and regulations

o   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people at all levels of the organization

o   Experience working around trucking, heavy transport and industrial businesses preferred

 

REQUIRED TRAINING
o   New Hire Orientation

Mechanic | New Iberia

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES

o   Maintain equipment

o   Washing equipment

o   Facility maintenance

o   Manual labor as directed by supervisor

o   Repair equipment (as per capabilities allowed – determined by Mechanic Supervisor and corporate management

o   Inspect equipment for operational suitability

o   Repair/troubleshoot SPMT’s and various hydraulic trailers and/or equipment

o   Operate equipment as needed for testing (as per capabilities allow – determined by Mechanic Supervisor and corporate management)

EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE | SKILLS

o   High School diploma or equivalent preferred

o   Knowledge/experience with SPMT’s (Self Propelled Modular Transporters)

o   Experience with equipment in Heavy Haul/Specialized Transportation industry preferred

 

Class A CDL Driver | New Iberia

CDL Class A Driver – New Iberia, LA

DUTIES

    • 3-5 years’ experience in the Heavy Trucking industry preferred
    • Operate within DOT laws and regulations
    • Pulling over dimensional loads
    • Flexibility to travel is a must
    • Must possess a Class A CDL with a clean driving record
    • Must be mechanically inclined
    • Driver must be willing to rig on jobs after delivery of equipment
    • Rigging for crane lifts
    • Operate forklift or other non-crane equipment (as trained)
    • Assemble and provide labor for jacking projects
    • Assemble and provide labor for skidding projects

  • High School diploma or equivalent
