It all began with one small house. In the sweltering summer of 1945, Roy Berard Sr., an innovative sugar cane farmer, was offered fifty dollars to move a friend’s house to a new location a few miles away. Using an old truck and homemade trailer, he completed the project in just one day. “Back then, $50 seemed like $50,000 to me, an amazing reward for a day of hard work” said Berard. Word of this accomplishment quickly spread throughout the area, and the small farming operation evolved to the mega transportation company that is Berard today. Roy Berard’s devotion to quality carries on as the backbone of our company. Since our humble beginnings, Berard practices the founder’s core values to remain the premier choice for heavy and specialized transportation.

Berard Transportation expertly handles every job with innovation and creativity. This same mentality has been wholeheartedly passed down through the family business and still flourishes to this day. It was founded by Roy Berard, then led by his eldest son, Johnny Berard, who serves as the company’s President. His brother Randy Berard is the chief executive officer. Braedon Berard and his cousin Brett Berard are the third generation running the operations of this iconic southern business. Braedon serves as Chief Operations Officer and Brett serves as Vice President of Operations. The company has about seventy employees. The company’s philosophy is deeply rooted in a steely determination to succeed, no matter what it takes.
